Sick Again!

I am so tired of being sick. I have been to the doctor now twice in less than two weeks and have really been struggling with this mess since November. About two weeks ago, I went to the nurse practitioner and she did a chest x-ray and blood work. She said that I had a touch of bronchitis; however, because I had had a steroid shot back in November, she would not give me a steroid shot (which I knew that is what I needed). I knew that if I could have seen my regular doctor he would have given me a shot, but instead I had to pay for a chest x-ray and blood work ($250) and antibotics ($50). All to be back in the doctor's office today ($150). At least I will meet my deductible really fast this year. I used to struggle with this mess all of the time, so my doctor knows that usually the steroid shot is the only thing that will work for me. I try to tell the nurse practitioners that but they won't listen to me. Please don't think I am dogging the NPs. She was super nice and I know that they have protocols that they have to follow. It is just so frustrating when they won't give me what I need. So I went to my doctor today and he gave me the shot and basically said that he would have given it to me 2 weeks ago. I asked him to please write it on my chart, but I don't think that he did. I think that I will just be sticking with my doctor from now on no matter how long I have to wait to see him. Anyway, I am feeling a little better tonight. My fever has broken for the time being and my throat and ears aren't hurting has much. Hopefully, I am on the mends. Sorry for all of the venting. I am just sick and tired of being SICK!!!

Go Gators!!!!!!

Some time ago, John James decided that he was a Florida Gator fan. Not really sure exactly how this happened other than a friend of his at school likes them, so John James decided he did too. When he becomes a fan of something whether it is Wiggles, Thomas the Train, Nascar, or Florida Gators, he goes all out. When he becomes a fan of something, so does everyone else close to him. Needless to say, I now watch Nascar (which I never thought I would) and I am somewhat of a Florida fan. Anyway, I got a call yesterday afternoon from Debbie saying that he was saying that NeNe was coming over to watch the National Championship Game at his house. You all know that I did go. These are a few pictures from the night.

Way to Go, Gators!!!!!

Christmas 2008

Okay, so I know that is has been forever since I posted, so I am going to try to catch up now. My Christmas vacation started out with a visit with Evan and Michelle on Monday. I couldn't resist posting this picture. I just love his pouty face. He is just adorable even when he is pouting. Anyway, we had a great visit.
On Tuesday, I went home to Louisville for a few days. We had Christmas with my dad's family in Philadelphia. This is a picture of my cousin, Daphne. She is such a character and pretty much stays in trouble.

This is my Granny and Aunt Diane opening presents.

On Christmas morning, my dad and I got and had our Christmas together. He actually surprised with a couple of gifts. Usually, I pick everything out and then he has it wrapped, but this year he threw in a couple of surprises.

Christmas night, we went to my mom's side of the family. This is a picture of my boys or my momma's boys. My mom used to work at Wal-mart and when the boys were little they would come to Wal-Mart and start calling for Aunt Barbara. Of course, she would almost always buy them something. She loved them like they were her own grandkids.

(I really can't believe that let me take their picture)

This is me and Tay.

The Friday after Christmas, I went to Madi and Brady's house to see what Santa had brought them and played for awhile. Then I took them to their Nana's house so that we could do our Christmas. This is a picture of all of them looking at the calendar I made for Sharon. It was a photo calendar with all of their pictures in it.
